This free flowing single piece CNC mandrel bent pipe is a direct replacement for the OEM plastic intake pipe and restrictive resonator. These parts have been developed at our UK HQ in Gloucester. This high flow intake pipe can be used with the OEM air box or alternatively with the full Forge intake system (FMINDF56). The intake pipe features CNC machined outlets therefore, any OEM plug-in parts (i.e. blow by heater and vacuum take off) are a no-hassle direct fit.
Designed as a direct replacement for the brittle OEM plastic boost pipes used on the Mini F56 JCW models. Manufactured in Aluminium tube with CNC machined couplers and smoothed formed mandrel bent aluminium single piece pipe work with hand TIG welded couplers providing an unrestricted internal flow. High quality silicone hoses are also included.
To ensure an OEM quality fit, both hard pipes have been carefully contoured to fit in the restricted space between the engine and chassis. No further modifications are necessary to the bodywork or pipework.

- The Forge silicone hoses in this kit have been designed to include an expensive inner liner of modified silicone known as Fluorosilicone

I can count at least three places to impede airflow on the stock F56; up pipe, downpipe, mid-pipe, and exhaust. Add one more place to the list, the stock intake pipe, yep, another resonator.
The huge bulge on the stock pipe is yet another place to impede air flow.The Forge hard pipe eliminates the stock resonator blocking air flow and really opens up the turbo"

Really a very good product that allows the engine to express itself freely. The installation was easy, thanks to the instructions provided. Thanks again for that. This Hardpipe is a real improvement over the original one. More air for the turbo, that's only good!
I ordered this with the induction kit. I was only able to install the hard pipe due to getting the wrong induction kit (won't fit my MAF). I can feel the difference with just the hard pipe, so I'm pretty excited about that. Shipping was really fast. Let's see how fast the exchange process is so I can get the intake on too. : )

Do not use aggressive (acidic) car cleaning products, particularly traffic film remover solutions or shampoos to clean your intercooler, radiator or oil cooler. The use of these products can damage Forge Motorsport cooling systems and invalidate your warranty. These are often found at car washes. A light, warm, soapy solution (free of harsh acidic cleaning compounds) should be used to clean you cooler and thoroughly rinsed away. We recommend that you should inspect your product on a regular basis for bent and/or crushed fins. Any bent fins should be carefully straightened to allow ambient air to pass through the core face. At the time of installing your Forge radiator, an approved coolant must be used and added to the coolant system. Be sure you never mix coolant and always use distilled water.
