This Package pairs the GIAC Stage 1 Performance Software with complimenting hardware for a Stage 1 Performance File. Included in the stage is our MK7 Carbon Induciton Airbox.
GIAC Flash Loader Mobile:
The GIAC Flashloader Mobile (FLM) Device is a new tool that allows enthusiasts to load or remove GIAC performance programs on to their vehicle. The FLM is pocket-sized, durable and does not require a laptop or PC during the flash. Files and commands are stored on a USB memory stick, that can be customized by the end user, to convert the device from flashing tool, to logger, to performance mode switcher, to code clearer or to some combination of each.
GIAC Stage 2 Plus adds horsepower, torque and more throttle response throughout the power band. A intake, exhaust and inter cooler is required to run this calibration.

Carbon Fibre Intake Kit VAG 2.0 TSI EA888 GEN 3:
After over a year in our R&D department finalising the design, fit and finish, Forge Motorsport are proud to present a carbon fibre intake for the latest 1.8 and 2.0 TSI EA888 engines. It combines a highly unique, desirable and attractive look with an ability to offer real-world horsepower increases. Although the VW/Audi group got their intake pretty good, we were able to force feed even more cold air into our intake by running it the full width of the slam panel, and exploiting the cold air ducts that VW/Audi put in from the factory, but don’t use.
The genuine carbon fibre is finished ‘dry’, meaning unlaquered, just like the carbon fibre you see in motorsport applications. This requires a higher quality fibre with no defects, and a higher attention to detail when the intake is manufactured. This results in a true premium product for your car which far exceeds other intakes at the same price point, and embarrasses those priced even higher.
It offers greater sound from the engine, particularly when on boost, and our product testers have reported a more responsive throttle too. The filter element itself is provided by Pipercross, and is fully serviceable or replaceable if necessary. In our testing, it was the only filter type that was able to offer adequate filtration to the engine, whilst still being capable of flowing enough air to offer an increase in horsepower and torque.
Uprated Intercooler for VW Golf Mk7 and Audi S3 8V Chassis
This is our new intercooler for the Mk7 Golf, MK7R and S3 (8V chassis) fitted with the latest EA888 2.0 TSI engine. Volkswagen Audi group have changed just about everything from the Mk6 to the Mk7 chassis so this core has had to be designed from scratch in order to fit in with the redesigned radiator and condenser.
The core fits in the stock location and requires no modification to the radiator pack assembly. Cooling is radically improved. Our test Golf Mk7 GTI achieved 16bhp more without any other modifications whilst also demonstrating a consistant 25-30 deg C (77-88 deg F) temperature drop over stock on the dyno, with all runs performed on the same day with only a 2 deg C variation in ambient temperature over the runs (in fact it was 2 deg C hotter when we tested the Forge core).

The stock core typically increased in temperature by 5 deg C on each subsequent run, with heat soak becoming a real issue after only three runs. The stock ECU was pulling timing and boost after only one run – typically anything over 40 deg C inlet temperature will cause the ECU to change ignition timing to suit – and the stock core peaked at 60 Deg C on its first run, where the Forge core was able to get temperatures back under control after each run so that by the end of 4 back to back runs the core temperature had only risen by 4 degrees C
All of this was achieved on a stock car (it should be noted that although Volkswagen claim 220bhp for this new engine we have seen examples range from 230 to 240bhp completely stock, on the same rolling road). At the time of writing there are no software solutions (other than tuning boxes) available to really test the car or the intercooler, but we are confident that the core will continue to deliver a much lower intake charge temperature than stock across all states of tune, as its based on our award winning Mk5/Mk6 intercooler which has been fitted with great success on everything from road and track cars, to full blown race and drag cars.
The core comes in a satin black light powder coated finish, and includes all mounting hardware necessary for installation.

Do not use aggressive (acidic) car cleaning products, particularly traffic film remover solutions or shampoos to clean your intercooler, radiator or oil cooler. The use of these products can damage Forge Motorsport cooling systems and invalidate your warranty. These are often found at car washes. A light, warm, soapy solution (free of harsh acidic cleaning compounds) should be used to clean you cooler and thoroughly rinsed away. We recommend that you should inspect your product on a regular basis for bent and/or crushed fins. Any bent fins should be carefully straightened to allow ambient air to pass through the core face. At the time of installing your Forge radiator, an approved coolant must be used and added to the coolant system. Be sure you never mix coolant and always use distilled water.
